interesting article, ive came across much information in regards negativity in the entire music industry other than rap music but this particular genre does have a direct influnce on the part of the social structure that readily supplies this idea with energy and money through the purchase of the music and filling the vacany of the prison system, very sad how those in power lose their morals and souls at the exspense of having exspensive things.itll change,we're awakening.thank you for that info.
The corruption knows no bounds. The high rung, seeks to control the lower rungs via profit, for themselves which negatively impacts the lower rungs. It makes the money flow upwards while simultaneously whipping the lower rungs into shape. Those people are still not at the top, they are the ones who are interested in money. The guys at the top are not interested in money (they own all of it anyways)- but know other people are. So they devise, along with many of their top brass plans which can fulfill their agendas. In this case, its subjugation of people, in particular those of color. And, a scheme which keeps the money flowing upwards towards them without having to lift a single finger. The other upside is they have also used the platform for mindcontrol (rap music), now that rap music is no longer just about violence, but it is now about getting people in the club, to spend money, hypnotized by illusions of wealth/grandeur/sex, and more.

depends on the lyrics ay
I think its pretty easy to tell which one's spread negative messages (most).
But for the sake of exception: Erik B & Rakim- Don't Sweat the Technique has a bass-line that can't be beat, music is what you make of it.
Given, that song's like 20 years old lol. Downhill from there. XD

"Peace hath higher tests of manhood than battle ever knew."-John Greenleaf Whittier
@AmentiHall: Here's one of my newest faves in the genre, preceded by some basic instruction in Ebonics to aid in facilitating better grokking of the depthful "message"
