What do you do in real life

Hi, just thought what you guys/gal do in real life to make a living? Me, I'm a garbage collector. Just kidding, I might not stay conscious smelling that stuff 8 hours a day. No offense to the real garbage collector here, I respect your job. I'm a network administrator with background in electronics 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. What about you?

I wear multiple hats involved with every process of internet development and online marketing taking on projects that excite me, sometimes for free because its what I am able to create and have it do that I love and the relationships it brings both business and personal. I started in 1994 and here I am now still doing it and loving it. I dont post to blogs, or forums related to what I do , I do not put a name on any project I do. I see no need for credit or a link to me saying I DID THIS. I also have a thing for seeing something that can be done that will benefit someone or a company/brand where I do not know anyone and be able to carefully write a email to them and end up working with them. I saw a segment on a show on TruTV that was so good I thought they should get their own show spinoff, so I planned something and contacted the people and ended up they already were trying to get a spinoff so things worked out very well and now they are on season 3. SO that is what I do.

I hope my way of explain it is understandable, if not ask anything and I shall answer.

I have no idea who the person is but it could be possible.

Synchronicity seems to happen a lot with me in every area of my life.

I actually find the topic quite shallow, no offense to you at all. It's cool talking about it in here though among my fellow Bohemians & Espers. It's just it's like the first thing everybody asks you when they meet you, or see you for the first time in ages. Or at a bar to strike conversation. It's like it's the only thing that defines their existence. Even the way it's often worded: "what do you do for a living?" I usually respond with something like, "I breathe, eat, sleep, shit, ya know... the normal stuff carbon based life forms do to live." And then maybe follow it with a: "oh, you mean what's my job?"... IT work. I also help my father run his pre-press and antiques businesses. But I make it clear that that doesn't define who/what I am, and that there's so much more to life than your 9 to 5 and pursuit of material things. And sometimes I get the point across, but mostly just draw rolled eyes and scowls. More than likely because it hits close to home. In my late teens to early 20's I flat out hustled, made a buck however I could. I'll be perfectly blunt, I sold drugs and delivered pizza... sometimes simultaneously. I had no direction in life and no motivation. This is not something I discussed at family gatherings when they asked me that rhetorical "what do you do?" question, but I feel more comfortable saying it in here. Oxycontin and nuggets were in demand, and I had a great connect. Then I met this girl... and it all changed.

Enjoy your experience and time at your age living at home, one day you might look back and miss what you have now because you will understand life and see your past differently then you see it now

Nah my family drives me crazy(not in a normal way). I'm tired of being limited because of my age. Highschool is a huge setback because it requires so much time and very little new information is learned (most of the time we're just relearning things). I anxiously await for the opportunity to get down to business so I can get out of this place once and for all!

I feel the EXACT same way... I hate being at home, for various reasons, But school to me is just too time consuming when you have to get all these credits from silly subjects you don't even like.
I noticed you're in Texas. I've been trying to convince my parents to let me go this summer but they keep telling me "You're too young"
I feel I can start being who I want to be once I turn 18 and finish highschool... it's like a prison.

The body is hungry so the mouth has to eat for the body and the hand has to feed the mouth and the leg has to carry the hand to go do work to receive the food. It is a necessary process to continue feeding the thought so that it could think that it is shallow.

I remember that feeling of wanting to just be done with school. It.s as if your whole life is just saint for this or for that. Then before you know it,it's staring you in the face. Ugh! Work. This is what I was waiting for? Don' t get me wrong,it's not always like that. Somedays are great, even some years. But, I always want more fufilment, more ,I think I have more to give than just the daily grind. Which is returns processor. I like my non materialistic jobs better.
Jewelry making, artist.baker ,gardener, decorator and many forms of artistic expression. I love being a friend ,a wife, a mama , grandma and a helper whenever I can, the best.
