Cry in a dream, you cry for real

Ever notice that? I just thought of this because of my Romeo & Juliet dream the other night. You don't really run, kick, punch, etc... when you do so in your dreams. Well... sometimes you do, I've had it happen. It happens when you're close to waking up and whatever thing that keeps you from acting out your actions isn't being secreted nearly as much by your brain (forget what it's called). But, at least to my experience, EVERY time you cry in your dreams, you cry for real. I've woken up with my eyes nearly glued shut by dried tears. It seems to be one thing this substance (whose name eludes me) doesn't cover/prohibit your physical body from acting out. Or is it just me?

I think crying while dreaming doesn't really put you in danger like running or punching would. Maybe the body only temporarily paralyses functions that might cause us injury?

PS. Sometimes I jerk my legs if I am escaping in a dream and it wakes me. Lol

    Thank u for posting this

The same thing just happened to me, I woke up for about 10 min ago because I realized that I was crying in reality while dreaming.
This gets me thinking about some theory I have about the dream realm and our "reality"
I have noticed that some times in dream when I am using heavy physical energy like running, fighting ect I feel so exhausted when I wake up
    even my body feels sore...
Until this day I was not aware that one could cry in dreams and it would manifest in reality...

The emotions connect the mental world with the physical world.

Get an erection in a dream... you get one for real too. Everyone with the necessary equipment has experienced that one I'd assume. And I dunno about y'all, but I could hurt somebody with that thing. Stub it on the door or wall, etc... Hell sometimes it's been so rock that it feels like it's gonna burst even... like seriously hurts. I have to think of something, displeasing, to render it inert. But going to school/work would usually do it. I even had a g/f once that told me that any time it happens, that I should... nah... that's totally across the TMI line, if I haven't breached it already.

i hate both. like for real.

i hate dreams that center around one hidden disire you have and you obsess about it than you wake up and its like WTF!
i think once i sprained it. i mean....like for real. just rolled over the wrong way. reminds me of that episode of sex in the city where Samantha tied up paper ribbon to make sure her bf was no impotent.

stupid animal desires. everything else i can give or take. if i cry in a dream its for a reason. i remember once some one entered my dream...back when i had premonitions. JUST TO TELL ME THEIR SOB STORY. i mean....cuz i talked to some one later on that day i never knew that told me the same sob story in real life. creepy.

    oh well. what ever.

I should also say that they are our indicators of alignment with our spiritual self.

Meh, this just happened to me. I took a nap and had one of the worst, saddest dreams I've ever had. I feel like all I've been doing is crying.
I don't even know if I could share it.

I've been looking in the mirror for so long that I've come to believe my soul is on the other side.

Hey, yeah, you're right! I never made that connection that it mostly only happens when you're crying. The cross-over between dream and reality.

However, I just found out 2 days ago that during a (genuine) OBE, if you cry, your physical body does not shed tears. As if I needed any more confirmation that what I experienced that morning was more than a run of the mill vivid dream, I guess you could call this the icing on the cake. I wept... oh did I ever weep when I thought I had died and been sent to hell. When I came back into my corporal body... not a sign of crust around my eyes.
