You know, that's difficult. There are aspects of both that I find fascinating. I grew up with the orignal Star Wars and watched Star Trek re-runs and absolutely fell in love with Next Generation.
PLEASE don't make me choose!
Which one is your favourite? and Why??
I am a personal fan of Star Wars. I grew up on the 3 original movies and watched them almost every single weekend! Didn't get Star Trek on TV...

"Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to "die before you die" — and find that there is no death."
Star Wars. It has a more epic feel to it than Star Trek and a more coherent narrative. Plus, it features Emperor Palpatine. What more could you want?
"Where there is love, there is life, And where there is life, there is hope, (There is hope...), And in hope we find the sight to see
The essence of divinity" - The Cruxshadows, "Defender."
Star Wars is more entertaining, never really got into either = /
“The Grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for."
Star Wars no questions asked
those older movies changed my life
I'd watch them all then turn around and watch them all again right afterwards
since my parents didn't let me play outside much or have friends over when I was younger I lived for the old Star Wars movies
best love scene ever between Hon Solo and Leia
"I love you, Hon Solo."
"I know!"
oh Hon is so awesome!

Han Solo is sooo dreamy and when i was a tween (10-12) tweenager, I was in LOVE with him he was soo freakin cute and much like you would just watch the tapes over and over and over again. I personally like the fact that Vulcan, AB is about 2 hours from my hometown. I think thats just really nifty.you trekkies are all JEALOUS!

Imzadi's way cool.
I was reading a lot of sci fi when Star Wars came out but was disappointed because it seemed to have more focus on special effects and fighting. I think I was expected more of the depth of human questions you get in a sci fi novel.
On the other hand the old Star Trek reruns got to some interesting places and new series continued to raise questions about humanity. DS9 was my favorite series but Captain Janeway was my favorite single character.
Oooh Imzadi - I had forgotten about him - now you are gonna make me blush!
Had to reread the chronology. That Seska was not good for him! Star Trek site hints at futher KJ moments....
Do you remember the angry warrior tale - I just catching up with the episode synopsis and I don't see it.
Seven's identity issues after leaving the Borg & most of Kes except when she was experiencing her fertility....
See the guy I started dating LOVES star trek and star wars... so i think it will be a happy relationship. I'm starting to watch star trek when it's on instead of changing the channels... i love all Sci Fi but I didn't GET star Trek till recently.

Oooh Imzadi - you have my number.
In my single mom days I would get a little thrill out of hearing Michael Dorn's voice as one of the repeating characters on the cartoon Lilo and Stitch (btw Lilo clear has an Indigo's life).
It would be a good day to die with you in battle Imzadi.
(Please note - that is play off Star Trek dialog and not a threat in any way).
That's the way I always heard the phrase. It was meant as a compliment to your character Imzadi.
I really loved the way they developed the Klingons in the later Star Treks. Warriors with honor - that's a refreshing kind of passion.
And the Worf-Dax romance was a great one.
