    Meshuggah: Bleed (heavy)

This is one of the songs I want to learn on drums one day(lol probably 1/3 of the way there). The double-bass is so hard to do(technique is called pantera). I'm totally gonna surpass the drummer tho(lol bold.)!!!! Declaring it . One of my favorite drummers, and one of the best ;D

Tis for headbangers only (good luck w/ the poly-rhythm hehehe)

I've actually only played drums 1 year and can play some crazy crazy shit(if there's anything I'm a prodigy at, it's this.) I don't even practice hardly at all, I listen to music alllllll the time and play the songs in my head when I want to learn(tap my feet for double bass practice), and then max out what my muscles can play(polyrhythm still hard/polymeter). I can double bass really fast (not quite As Blood Runs Black speed though). Lol, if I actually put in the effort and practiced like a normal person I'd be playing bleed by now ;P. I think I sound a lot like Chris Adler(but not quite as tight, and I'm not as good at the very fast ride whilst double bassing(but I double bass faster)...lol just need to practice from now on). I got to this point with probably....<250 hours of playing? I only like practicing when I have a musician to play with(forever a jammer :P). But my friends played a lot so it was fun. I like playing Amon Amarth drums most(but I don't really do covers, I do my own thing, always.) But I'm certainly influenced by all the music I listen to. I'm not the best at drum fills, but I'm great at playing to anything a guitarist plays(feel it out), it's usually them who fuck up lol. I still need to learn to blast beat better, but I have my moments . I play probably 10x better if I just let go and my spirit jams(inconsistent on this, lol). I'm 19 and live in southwest missouri.

Haha tons of info, but whatever. :P I'm just as excited there's a metal head as well.

    Peace.

Rofl actually I don't have facebook(by choice!!!) and don't have any recordings either :P

Haha, that's badass you can play that tho. Makes me wanna practice more.

It might be a little while(got lots of shit going on) but I like jamming with everybody. I could probably just make drum tracks with some program(I'll have to learn...drumkit from hell I think is one) and throw it out there. Go ahead and start making some riffs and hold onto em, I can help you out with the drum-track

    Hehe, gettin me excited

    Peace

-I don't have drum mics but I'm pretty sure my brother does(he's a great drummer), could probably use them someday for a real sound. My kits nice enough: Mapex Meridian 6 piece and some good cymbals(need to pick one or two more up tho). But my main crash and china are solid(sabian AAX 18"). Lol, I spent my grant money from school on it. ROFL

Once i graduate this year im probably moving near denver in colorado with my two stoner friends (i live in ohio now). One of them is trying to take off with his rapping and im trying to put a band together so were both getting into making music, and we figured we would have a studio house type thing out there. idk, anything can happen haha
