Living without money/Surviving off the Land

It has been my dream to live without money.
To live in the wild and learn the cycles of Nature.
I am tired of this materialistic world.
I can't image myself working everyday of my life.
I can't imagine myself going to the same job everyday.
Just doing the same thing over and over.
I feel like I would go insane if that became my life.
We live in a holographic universe full of illusions.

Have you ever seen Into The Wild? I recommend it if you haven't. I've felt the same way often times. My ambition is to create my own website/passive income this year so I don't have to be on the hamster wheel which so many of us get caught up running in. Best of luck to you, I feel for you!

    Much love,

    Peace.

Yes I have seen the movie. It is a fantastic movie.
I have been debating on becoming a hitch-hiker/backpacker.
Traveling around surviving on what I can find.
Hopefully I would meet someone who knew of a Eco-village that could live at.

Lucy, hon - send me a PM and let me know where you are in FL (if you don't mind)... I've got people all over everywhere that are interested in this - including some near where I am in FL..it's doable.. a struggle for some.. but doable..

I'd love to be off the grid, etc.. my profession will require me to be near people.. but not necessarily living with them.

Not to deminish your dream, but have you ever tried living "Off the land"? It is a lot of work. Not that you can't create it. But the garden of eden is long gone and eating weeds (if you can find any that are not sprayed with herbacide) tends to be difficult (not to mention not very tasty). Wildlife is scarce these days, and often more clever than we are, when it comes to survival. An eco-villiage will want you to work hard for your room and board. Most offer no additional salary, so you have no money to change your mind with. The eco ark plan is for everyone to own their own space together. To run it your own way, by your own rules and not have to fit in with what everyone else decides for you. But it still takes money and a lot of work. Even in the rainforest their is not enough wild food to live year in and year out.

I don't know if I could say I lived off the land, growing up.. but growing up we grew all of our own food.. we heated our house with woodstoves and canned, etc.. more like homesteading.. and YES, it's hard.. but the food tastes SOOO much better and it's great being able to go to your own pantry and know what's there and where it came from and how it's been treated.. sooo wonderful.
For me, ideally, I'd like off the grid (power via solar/wood/wind if available), growing my own food and medicinal herbs. I already do a lot of my own "self sufficient" type things (make my own clothes etc). I'd like to be MORE self-sufficient.

Personally, I don't think I would do well with an eco-village because I'm just too independent/opinionated to be that much of a team.

I don't think it's too unrealistic to grow the majority of your own food and live off the grid. But if you've never done it before, I agree that it's gonna be tough. Talk to someone who has before you dive off the deep end. <3

I say if you don't like the world as is:

Go out there and change it.

This ad goes away when you register.

Tis but an illusion we must live like robots, built by peer pressure.

Live off the grid if you want, though, but I say travel: got stuff to say, no?

Also watch "Into the Wild" if you haven't. I love that movie, I almost dipped myself.

I'll be traveling myself soon enough, lol I like friends.

Making a website to fund it.

    Much love,

    Peace.
