I think the author oversimplified and forgot one of the cultural aspects of the Jewish tribe - as the phrase goes - ask 10 Jews their opinion and you will get 11 answers. While there is sometimes pressure to conform politically on matters in the Middle East that is relatively small blip in the long story of a group of people that are both an ethnicity and a religion that has endured. Some Jews do support a more peaceful path. Some don't.
