Call it the 'the universe provides', the 'law of attraction', 'God's gifts to the faithful', 'coincidences' or whatever takes your fancy... I would love to hear people's stories about what has 'conveniently' occurred in their lives recently.
I have three great stories to start with:
Story 1
I was talking to my workmate about 10 minutes ago about how I didn't have anywhere to go for the long weekend, as my plans had just fallen through.
5 minutes ago a new friend sent me a text asking me what I was doing this weekend and did I want to go away with her?![]()
Story 2
I was talking to another workmate two weeks ago and describe the work I REALLY want to be doing. Later that afternoon my boss emailed me through a possible tender doing EXACTLY what I had described![]()

Story 3
I dislike where I live, as I don't get on with the girls I flat with. But I haven't been able to move out straight away for work reasons, so I have been waiting it out with patience, knowing that I will be given what I need.
I also want to pay off my student loan quickly so I can travel without the debt mounting up.
Well, after three months of waiting... a friend of mine has come into a situation where she can offer me FREE rent in a fabulous apartment in a nice area, with an ensuite, 10 minutes walk from my work and 20 mins walk from town for six months. I'll be saving 600 euro a month and will be able to pay off my loan in that 6 months AND save lots of money for travel.![]()

Thanks!!! Living in harmony with the universe absolutely works. Why do people think life is so hard... this is not 'luck'.

I think this is key. Friends and family are always telling me how lucky I am, but I know I'm just rolling with what is supposed to be. Sometimes it can get difficult to see it that way, because I'm not the most patient of gals...But as long as I keep things in perspective, everything just comes and goes soooo smoooothly!

hehehe im very good at manifestation. every time stuff like that happens, i thank the universe and God. personally i think that whether or not one believes in God, if you form a relationship of sorts with the divine, you form a relationship with the universe. which means the entire universe is on your side.... PARTY!!!!!!!!!
(i have stories, i just dont have time to put them down right now.)

"Death is a stripping away of all that is not you. The secret of life is to "die before you die" — and find that there is no death."
Hey, I like this thread and it has been a while since I found a thread with such potential. My first teacher used to talk about how when you got delayed in traffic and such you know those little things that are so irritating that you should be thankful . He would say your guides were holding you up so that you would not get in a accident. You came by later and the accident didn't happen. With that in mind I am able to love delays for it is the universe giving me a gift to keep me out of danger. Perspective makes the world a much better place. When you can find love in traffic. He also use to say love the other guy and criticize the behavior if you must. My life has become so much more pleasant since I begin to control my emotions and try to stay in a space of love. Thank you for listening.
Doug
I have this same thought every time I'm getting impatient in traffic or waiting in lines. Everything that happens has the potential to serve as some kind of lesson, even it's just to give us time to take a slow breath. Now, don't get me wrong; even though I recognize this, I am not an advanced enough being for this thought to make me more patient.![]()
It's all in your perspective. I know so many people who think everything relies on luck, and those same people almost always think they've gotten the short end of the cosmic stick...that everyone else just has better luck than them.
Although I'm no optimist, I see serendipity in what looks like tough luck. Given enough time, I'm always proven right.

hey my glass is always half full and never moving toward empty. I am old and have time to experiment more. I simply believe the more positive I am in everyday life the more positive will the atmosphere that surrounds me become. The more positive the atmosphere that surrounds me becomes the more positive are the experiences in that atmosphere so I spend much time and energy searching each moment of life for the positive prospective of that moment. My first teacher used to say you can let the shit get on you but do not let it get in you. It washes easily off the outside but when it is on thew inside it tends to eat away at everything else. That, of course, is but a very humble opinion.
Doug
Doug, I'd say that was a very valid opinion, and very sage. (And no, I don't mean the herb...I know plenty of people who would leap on that one!) You reminded me of a song:
I love to laugh
Loud and long and clear
I love to laugh
It's getting worse ev'ry year
The more I laugh
The more I fill with glee
And the more the glee
The more I'm a merrier me
Learning less and less about more and more, 'til I know nothing about everything.
Love that!
It's so true that rather than getting annoyed at the little things, you can use them to reflect and even be joyful in your situation. It sounds crazy to those who have never tried it, but as you do it more frequently and learn to be OK with where you are right now, that is, be in harmony with the moment instead of fighting it, things usually (if not always) work out in your favour. Love it!
