I believe everyone suffers...not just those from this site.

If everything was easy in life...how could we truly appreciate the blessings that fall upon us?

i'd still know blessings. i for one don't need the crap. some say we're here to learn but all we are learning, imo, is how to navigate thru crap. i'm here to change things, not to learn about crap. <--(rant :))

where i'm from we had no crap ever and did just fine enjoying each other and having fun.

yes, put me on the suffer list but it gets less and less as i acquire crap-handling tools and practice them..

Interesting that many of us have [or are] gone
through a suffering experience lesson.

Yes this enables us to see/feel that human energy in others.
Good observation sean.

I never felt like I was suffering through any experience that I've had. I've been through some shaky experiences but never felt like I was suffering. Once again, I think the question depends on an individual's perspective on his/her experiences.

This is from Dune, I found it fitting: "There should be a science of discontent. People need hard times and oppression to develop psychic muscles."

over the years i find that i,m suffering less because of my mental state of mind ( i,m learning to tame the beast) however i know it still liess within me and i,m just wondering.

did we all go through something tramatic in order to gain our other senses ( physic, empathy, etc,)

Only being born, sean.
The psi-abilities are part of our natural,
normal development as human beings.

Trauma imposed by accidents or deliberate acts.
are detrimental to psi-use and development.
Trauma [pain] interferes with the detachment from
the conscious mind and the ability to focus to be
able to maintain control of psi-abilities.

That said, Trauma can cause an immediate protective
response. No control, no thought, just psi-action.

note:
I have experienced
both types (pia) of reactions and have trained
myself to psi-respond automatically to many
possible traumas.
.
The psi-ability (pia) of Mind-Over/with-Body
can minimize trauma if it is trained to
be an automatic response. Minimize
blood loss, minimize pain. I have used
kinetics as an emergency response too.
