Quotes from Indigo Survival Guide, by Olena Gill

    You are a child of the universe, no less than the moon and stars;
you have the right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you,
no dought the universe is unfolding as it should!

    ~ Max Ehrmann

There is one thing in this world, which you must never forget to do.
Human beings come into this world to do particular work.
That work is their purpose, and each is specific to the person.
If you forget everything else and not this, there's nothing to worry about.
If you remember everything else and forget your true work,
then you will have done nothing in your life.

    ~ Rumi

"No one can give a definition of the soul.
But we know what it feels like.
The soul is a sense of something higher than ourselves,
something that stirs in us thoughts, hopes, and aspirations
which go out to the world of goodness, truth, beauty.
The soul is a burning desire to breath in this world of light and
nevet to lose it, to remain children of light.

    ~ Albert Schweitzer

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

    ~ Dr Seuss

If people offer their help or wisdom as you go through life, accept it gratefully. You can learn much from those who have gone before you. But never be afraid or hesitant to step off the accepted path and head off in your own direction, if your heart tells you that it's the right way for you. Always believe that you will ultimately succeed at whatever you do, and never forget the value of persistance, discipline, and determination. You are meant to be whatever you dream of becoming.

    ~ Edmond O' Neil

What do you seek, O Pilgrim om the Path?
"Liberation from pain and freedom from all suffering."
The answer to thy quest is already in thy heart.
Listen, O Pilgrim, to the whispering of thy Soul...
"Know thyself...for in thyself is found ALL there is ti be known.

~ from the records of wisdom

For each soul enters with a mission...We all have a mission to
perform...Why did I come into the Earth at this time? That it may be
bettered by thy service...That's the purpose of each soul

    ~ Edgar Cayce

The being human is a guest house. Every morning there's a new
arrival - a joy, a depression, a meaness. Some momentary awareness
comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all. Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of
it's comforts. Still, treat each guest honorably. He may be cleaning you
out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice.
Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. Be grateful for
Whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.

    ~ Rumi

Meditation brings wisdom; lack of meditation leaves ignorance. Know
well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom

    ~ Hindu Prince Gautma Siddhartha

Spirit is the essence of who you truly are. Listening to spirit is listening
to who you truly are and what you are trying to tell yourself. Speaking
to spirit is allowing who you truly are to communicate with you
and help guide you in this human experience. Feeling your spirit is
allowing yourself to feel what you are truly made of. Going against
these things would be doing your spirit a great disservice.

    ~ Olena Gill

Seek the wisdom of the ages,
but look at the world through the eyes of a child.

    Ron Wild

Each child is an adventure into a better life - an opportunity to
change the old pattern and make it new

    ~ Hubert Humprey

I have finished reading Indigo adults, and related to it 100%! I'd love to discuss it with you Susanna!

I am currently reading this one (where I got these quotes from):The Indigo Survival Guide: An Inspiring Guide to Awakening Your True Spiritual Self.....The author writes is such a beautiful, soulful, warm way...she first talks about her experiences as a child...and it goes on from there all about her life story, then there is a second section where she gives tips for Indigos including protection/grounding, things like that.

I have only read 10 pages straight from the beginning (just started reading it today) but as I'm so curious and want to know it all now, lol, I checked out a few pages of each chapter!

something i got from my spiritual advisor today: what would i do without her? wonder around crying i think. lol

    We Know Nothing

Lying on one side in bed the other night, the movement came to turn over and lay on my back for a while. I was sure that was what I was going to do. As I went to turn, my body surprisingly turned all the way over to the other side...that just appearing as the most inviting position in the moment.

I thought what a perfect analogy that is for how little I know about where this life is going.

Mind thinks it knows something about our future. In truth it doesn't have a clue. As the quickening of awakening takes place we notice this more and more. We think X is going to happen, there is even sometimes a ring of synchronicity about it that convinces us of its rightness in the order of things. And then, lo and behold, it all changes on a dime and we are left dumbstruck, stranded in consciousness.

When this kind of experience cycles around enough times you start to give up, the mind bows down in acknowledgement that something of real power and consequence has you in its embrace. This bowing down does not happen easily. We are brought to our sweet knees more often than we want to admit as this process unfolds.

Gradually the fear of not being in charge gives way to a great sense of relief. We don't have to do anything, know anything. We lay down our notions of control and take rest in God's lap.
"most people do not know how to love, wich is sad because we are all starving for it."

"there's a karmic momentum to our lives."

"all this hurrying soon will be over. only when we tarry do we touch the
    holy."
