Is the way I interact with spirits really that different?

Out of all the other psychics, sensitives and necropaths I meet, I've never met a one who interacted with spirits like I do. To them it's a very spiritual or mystical thing, or something to fear and treat delicately. I've always had a difficult time relating to that because, to me at least, they are presented as physical people to all my senses but touch. They look as solid as the laptop under my fingers, but they are not, just energy. So, logically, I treat them and interact with them as I would the physical people in my life. To me they're family or sometimes annoying passersby. I won't sit on them if they're taking up the couch, or ask them to move so I don't walk through them, they don't like it and it's really just plain rude.

Do any of you interact with spirits (ghosts, dead, whatever you want to call them) like I do? Is my method really that different?

i generally have a block against seeing (after a strong visualisation at an early age).

as a clairaudient i hear quite clearly, and permit myself to see movement and shade, not form.

i live in the southwest, and it is evident to me that perceiving and communicating with the dead is common among the hispanic community (and other non-"western"/industrial).

if you hear a mexican person whistling as if through their teeth to produce high frequencies, they are calling.

Same here. When i was younger i was able to see people whom other couldn't and after many times of trying to convince my family that these people were here and not just imaginary friends i just gave up and ignored the fact of what they were, so now i guess you could say it is a hard road to get that back now that i know that i wasn't crazy. :-/

I think if I'd been given the luxury to ignore them I might have. But I've really never had a choice but to accept this for what it is and mold my life around it. I've seen a lot of people go near insane from trying to bury the ability, and I am thankful I was never given that choice.

Angi Im glad you brought this up. I actually interact with my spirits and so on the exact same way. I treat them as if they were actually a person everyone else could see and I just dont treat them any differently then I would a living human being. So when I get alil moody and they insist on being in my way they sure do hear me complain a lot lol but at least when im done complaining and whineing I know they were listening and care.

Your the only other person I know who interacts with them the same way I do. Like when Im out in public... and there is a spirit walking or just sitting somewhere I well make sure not to "step on them" as they are people. I usually well smile at them like a I would a normal person.

They are just part of my everyday life and I dont know what I would do anymore if I did not have them to interact with.

Bubbles, I caught your post on my phone and I almost couldn't believe it. Like I've said and you've said, I've never met anyone else that reacts to them like this. i choose the way i see them, well sometimes i do, when one is new to me they choose how i first see them then after i talk to them some more, i can eaither see them in my mind or see them like you do, or threw orbs lights etc..i usually see just the outline of them and there features.

Shrug. People give up their power and self authority at the drop of a hat especially when it is spirit related. I tend to think of them as personalties, they don't require delicacy or ass kissing anymore than my friends do. I think you have a healthy attitude.

i see one at the end of my bed sometimes scares the shit out of me, just a black figure has been happening for a good few years now, he or she does nothing so i just go back to sleep, still scares the shit out of me to this day,

Whenever I interact with spirits or different dimmension entities I treat them as people.CelticKnot is right, I don't bow down and revere spirits,just treat them with the same healthly amount of respect I reserve for all cognitive beings.I've always thought that if i treat a spirit as if they are better/greater than me, they will act so.People tend to follow that pattern.
