I didnt get to see Anomalia, I cant load youtube because I dont have high speed internet access...it would take atleast an hour. These are all beautiful pictures. I wish I had some pics to show you out of my book, some of these are in there as well. I love the black holes too, and the first forming stars, so many colors, it really is out of this world. My oldest son, who has autism, and I were out on the deck one night watching the stars together and he pointed at the northstar and said, look mom, theres old pa pa.

Am I the only one who gets depressed when I see a picture of a star going super nova.

    Black Holes

I was just thinking about black holes again today and their ability to trap even light due to their gravitational fields

(some of these are of course artist's renditions)

This one supposedly weighs the same as 18 billion suns and is the size of an entire galaxy ! read more here ->http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog...lion-suns.html

    Here's a cool site I found: http://www.quietbay.net/Science/astronomy/nightsky/

It teaches you how to navigate by stars by recognized just a couple of constellations, in 15 minutes. Neat!

lol thank you for the link Verumi

It's funny because I recently had a "dream" in which I was given a pamphlet but it was a view of stars from a different point in the universe..and in that particular part they also made connections or constellations to map the sky more efficiently. Very cool dream....what was even more weird was I remembered them as soon as the pamphlet was placed in my hand 0_o

    here's from our pov

and another...i will scale this down later.

Here's a really fascinating one. There is a cloud of dust and gas hiding a bunch of stars which can be detected through infared, but not seen. I found it on http://www.eso.org/public/outreach/p.../pr-01-01.html which explains more about it.

Thx again because of the light pollution in my area I can only see a limited amount of stars but maybe one night I can go chill on one of the reservations in the everglades and look at things
