Question Detatchment and the Contraversial story behind Indigo Children

This ad goes away when you register.
    Hey Readers,

As you probably know, according to mainstream astrology we will enter the Aquarian age and one belief is that Children will be born under it's approaching influence.

I have a bone to pick, Aquarius is the Unholy spirit (Unholy: not following beliefs, religion, etc...) so from that we can assume that a true indigo child would only be reluctant to believe "That he/she was sent to earth to bring about positive change", especially seeing that there is no scientific proof behind it!!!

I watched a TV programme about Indigo Children, my mum was dying for me to watch it because she's convinced I'm an indigo child. Anyways, this programme had a girl in it, she was a typical teenage girl at first from what I saw, all she did was go to school misbehave and then fit in, straighten her hair and go up the street to hang outside some co-op with her mates, as soon as she was told she might be an indigo child she became brainwashed by it and was determined to believe it was the Truth.

I'm not saying that I'm an example of the REAL indigo child but here goes. If you are a real indigo child as a reader then I'm sure you'll understand...

About 6 - 8 years ago I would stare out the window of the classroom, i was never really in the classroom in my head. My school thought there was something wrong with me, I was really bad at reading and concentrating unlike everyone else in my class. Once I had homework to recall the stories of Jesus, I wrote in my jotter that it was impossible for Jesus to walk on water, the Teacher put a big red NO next to it lol . My mum decided to pull me out of school all together because the headteacher was quite strict and told my Mum that the school didn't cater for individuals. So my mum began to homeschool me for half a year, during that time I learnt to read very acurately because I started reading books. My mum introduced me to all the "Aquarian Age, Indigo Children" stuff like that, she actually continuously told me that I was very much like an Indigo child unlike my sisters who are all commoners lol , anyways you would think that after being rejected by society and nothing left but an understanding mother calling you Indigo, you would wind up actually believing you were an indigo child... well I don't!!!

I don't think the Indigo Child stuff does or doesn't exist, to be honest i'm quite open-minded and objective yet considerate. Also Aquarius rules detatchment and from what i've studied Indigo Children are supposedly detatched, therefore all those who jump up and down screaming that they're indigo children and become so pre-occupied by it are obviously NOT Indigo children and need to meet a real one if they exist of course.

I'm not saying i'm the real indigo child because so and so... but a real indigo child would probably have the same kind of attitude as myself and perhaps similar lifestyle.

This is just my opinion, comment if you wish, but the purpose behind this was just to benefit those who are actually willing to listen to what i'm trying to say.

15 year old Scot from Scotland!!!!

Unholy means not following beliefs, religion, etc? I observe lots and lots of beliefs and religion in the world but not a lot of what I'd call holy. Seems that beliefs and religion are responsible for every single war ever fought.

It's beliefs and religion that separate us from God.

and guys please... really u have to stop believing that something which is not part of any religion, is unholy, heretic or whatever.. it is a very silly and cheap explanation. that's not a personal perspective that u express (i'm not talkin to u scosom15 personally, it's general). that's an excuse that the "high society" of any religion uses in order to spread the lie, to gain power and to proselytize the masses, so they can control them with any bull**t they say.

here are some lyrics of a band called guano apes that fit perfectly to the subject:
"open your eyes, open your mind, proud like a god, don't pretend to be blind"

indigos are not defined by a word. Each of us is a unique person. to understand what it means to be indigo I think its best to understand the self and learn to see how our judgments of others reflect our insecurities and only serve to hinder our influence on the greater whole. In my opinion

My term/label I've always used before I knew anything about the indigo thing is "new human". I think we are still human, nothing more nothing less, but we are a new version ushering in a new way for humanity to be. Sounds high and mighty but it's not I think every generation should do the same in an appropriate fashion.

I understand that we are all individuals even when under the influence of a new age, but my point was that Aquarius is the sign of detatchment, apparently indigo children can either be really evil or really kind, now... being either truly evil or truly kind, according to phsychology which is in all humans (not depending on the individual) that is a sign of real detatchment.

Real deatatched people, will often be found to be unpredictable and uncaring, either evil or kind and Detatchment is the main bodily structure and philosophy behind the attitude and behaviour of supposed "Indigo Children".

Anyways if all of this Indigo Children, New Age stuff is true, we will know in 2012 and we will be able to solve all differences big and small (in this case small of course) and we will be able to solve them telepathically haha !!!

I understand what you meant though

I think thay maybe, indigo is just another deep fantasy spiritual people have gotten their hands on, but i dont know. And i am not going to try and push my opinion onto anybody for i feel this is not my job. I have delved my mind into into the indigo idea. I use to be a firm believer aaaand a spiritual person =-O lol, but yeah. I have sort of come to 'realise' it is all just possibility after possibility after possibility. And it was all realy in my head. But yeah, it taught me alot being in that state of minid and opend up my understang of alot of things and i think it is good for people to experience something alternative like it. (i just dont like the ammount of people i have seen delve down the spiritual/indigo rabbit hole and either go completely insane or kill themselves, but yeah, whaatever)

(and i love the way everybody has felt cool by answering "Open Minded" )

I remember a day in the school library when I was your age. I didn't fit in hardly at all - but I was never a behavior problem. A guy (whom I should have dated) understood me a bit more and commented that I seemed to be born "too late" for the hippy era. I smiled back and said "no, just too early." I have always just known something was coming and that I needed to do my part.

I never doubted it because it came from a deep intuitive place - not from anything anyway told me. Like the same kind of knowing that tells you that you are hetero, homo or bisexual. No one tells you - you just know.

Yeah, it sounds your school life was pretty similar to mine. I was always quiet though, never realy said a word. I think it was more to the fact that i was bullied/teased alot i didnt feel that i was sort of 'good enough' to ever say anything. My mum is bipolar and has a very small ignorant conformist mind and could never even begin to comprehend anything that was going on in my life in school days (let alone the indigo ****) So yeah. What i was getting to, is that i tend to notice great similaraties in peoples lifestyles here. Like alot of indigos seem to share these traits, and another lot of indigos in here share a different trait. This make me think, that maybe, the 'indigo' typer of person isn't 'sent here' to do anything or sent here given particular personalaties that have these mystical thoughts and abilities. It is merely the lifestyle that unfolds before them that makes them the people they are today. Open Minded, Spiritual, Indigo, Paranoid, Deep thoughts, Delusion, ect...

Indigo is just a label, but I'd personally rather be labeled that than ADHD, or loner, or insane, or (from some people) evil. For me, its just a convienient way to describe myself, especially among others who describe themselves the same way.

I personally believe that all children are "indigo" and it is a society full of closed-minded, closed-off people who stomp it out of them by the age of 10. Every baby born has the potiential. They just need to be properly nurtured.

I don't think that 2012 is going to happen and we are all going to suddenly and magically be able to read minds and solve all the worlds problems. Its just a convenient date to set the new age to (Aquarius, or whatever). It will take years, possibly even centuries to change the world, but we are seeing it happening even now. People are thinking in new ways. Consciousness is expanding. I see it every day. Some examples are the fact that more and more people are becoming aware of the problems we face with the environment. More and more people are leaning toward peace than war. More and more people are describing their religious beliefs as agnostic and are moving away from organized religion. It's the little things that are really going to usher in this change. We are changing our brain chemistry too. We are smarter than any generation that came before us. Now we have to just wait and see what we do with that. It's a dangerous time for sure, but either way the old world view is being destroyed. And the children that are being born now (just like in every past generation) will be the leaders of our future. I'm thinking that means the future looks good because the small children who are alive now seem so much more put together... they're smarter, wiser, and more aware of the world and their place in it--not every child but most, I'd say. And that gives me a lot of hope.
    Peace and Love,
    Deni

Exactly! Its about the need and the resources that we have to go around. We just don't have enough to support 10 billion people. (Currently its about 6.5 billion and rising.)

I want to have one child, and I want to adopt one child. And I think 2 kids is all I can handle anyway.

Yeah, there's plenty of land. The more people the more resources you need, the more resources you need the more land you need for resources the less land you have for people and other beings...it'll balance out one way or another.
