Columns and waves ?

I've heard other indigos describe themselves as belonging to a specific numbered wave and column like " wave 3 column 5". what does this mean and how do i know which ones i belong to?

I don't know much about it really but I think they mean like the old waves like 70s and 80s or newer waves like the 90s and younger
supposedly there are some sorts of differences between indigos born in different decades but I don't think it really makes any difference we are all Awake

Waves are as Silverhaze describes the different generations of indigos coming through... never heard of columns before though!
