I fight and I work
I make things happen
but for what
To still feel trapped and
Not have anyone
But myself
A loneliness so heavy
I can't break from my shell
I can't hug a soul
I can't kiss a being
I can't dance with my shadow
Or take care when I'm needing
I can't be myself
If I can't smile
I can't be positive
I'd be in denial
I can't laugh
If I'm busy crying
Neither can I live
If I'm busy dying
So how do I find happiness
If I'm busy working
Working for the one
That makes me feel lonely
