Is channeling as natural for you?

Previous channelling threads have shown some apprehension towards opening up to channel.

Channeling seems to be an unstable process if it is done too quickly, that is with a rapid opening of the chakras (through drugs, distress etc) and surgance of energy, rather than a gradual opening up towards.. inwards.. and beyond.. Opening channels that extend way above and below our bodies enables one to expand towards inter-dimensional being and connection with greater knowledge. There is much love, joy, and learning to be found here.

Like a diver who will get the bends if he rises too quickly, so too will the human incarnate. Holding higher frequencies can exert pressures in the body since it is occurring through our chakras; our junction points between consciousness and physiology. It helps if the opening is gradual, in due time, and it also helps if you are fearlessly awakened! Otherwise those fears can be unpleasant handicaps. Sometimes fears provide necessary resistance towards things that can't yet be handled.

But no need to get totally discouraged it's really a demystifying experience once attained. I am by no means a fully open and conscious channel, but I acknowledge credit when credit is due, and that usually comes after I've satisfied the impulse to get the words out..

I believe that I and many others are sometimes channelling when responding to posts.. Tapping the higher/divine mind is but one step towards other greater minds. Have fun with it and continue to be a healthy sceptic – the observer of mind. Go forth with love in the heart.

So I'm interested.. is anyone feeling what I'm saying here?

I channel frequently. I find it to be very liberating. Some people don't see it that way, but I've always found it easier to be open than closed off.

General feelings on the process.. does the heart centre pulsate with everyone? Tuggings from above the crown? Pressures in the head and third eye? Downwards pulls towards and through gaia? Feeling both expanded and within the body at the same time?? This last one feels just amazing I always have the biggest smile on my face..

For me, it's more of a feeling of standing in front of campfire combined with something else that is hard to describe... but, I suppose the word orgasmic comes close.

I don't like water very much, which may be why it doesn't feel like a warm bath for me.

Ah how wonderful, some clear discrepancies between us. I wonder if visions or sensations that one experiences has anything to do with zodiacal elements.. I tend to use water and air a lot in my visualisations, and this is in keeping with my pisces, cancer, aquarius chart (sun, moon, rising).

So multiple pathways ultimately lead us to the same source.. I think thats a great thing for ppl in such a diverse forum to realise often

My ascendant is Cancer, which is a water sign. I'm still not a big fan of water though.

the universe currently has me sleeping and spending time in the mountains nearby to learn a lesson about living here in crestone...
being a double earth sign, i love it there. its just so perfect..and my other sign is water. all the rest are naturally balanced out as usual for all beings...
we're all awakening, expanding, and learning to let go of all that was and beginning to except all that is now and living our lives a new...
thats just how i feel though...

Ok then here goes. I won't concern myself with non-willing episodes of channeling, for this is closer edging on possession, and of the more malevolent variety since 'it' is not respecting ones willingness to participate in the matter.

General definition being a conduit through which energy is transmitted. Through you and to you is like one and the same. This connection can theoretically exist between the 'self' and any faculty beyond the 'self'.. Another self, another mind, a greater consciousness, higher/physical/or non-locale.. or a lesser consciousness for that matter (plant, mineral etc).

Your mind is still active and you are not disengaged, in fact you are more engaged and aware. At least this is so if one is attuned with their own higher faculties. Consciousness remains within the body whilst simultaneously being without.. Its like an assimilation of your frequency with another, a blending of boundaries or dimensions, to where communication is not so taxing but effortless and cooperative. If my consciousness were to completely exit my body so as to become an empty vessel, there would be greater energy expenditure on my part to more fully ascend and on their part to more fully descend.

If one is not accustomed to operating from their higher mind, then one may not accurately handle what is coming through.. Their lower faculties may become distorted and lost, unable to discern what is of themselves and what is not of themselves.

I'd agree with what you're saying. But it seems I've had past life training in channeling. Currently, when ever my family needs to channel guides or even a past familiar soul who's negativity has been passed down through the lines...I'm the one they look to. I suddenly one day gave a clear-as-day channel to my great great aunt (extremely helpful session) and I've been doing it since.

But I can't do it well on my own. My Mother is the "conductor" because she can instantly raise the vibrational level of a room to where I can channel freely. I literally let them control my mouth. She is also a great "talker". She can talk to who ever we're channeling with so much ease it allows for maximum information and clarity. It's pretty amazing really.

Yes, I get that sensation when I'm typing sometimes. I sometimes even channel directly through my fingers. But I can only do that seldomly. I do however think that I'm channeling my higher self a lot of the time. When that happens I sometimes say to myself "wow, that sounded a lot smarter than I usually sound" lol.

I can really relate to channeling draining the body. Especially when I channel people's angels. Phew, that wears me down in 30 minutes. Lots of water and loose clothing is the key there.

Thank you Melissa...for the defination....though i would not say a connection through ....and a connection to you.... are one in the same...i have made spiritual connections to people and other beings for years now....some deep and strong...some not so....and i would say...a connection to someone is like standing beside them....a connection through them is like standing within....of course those are just my thoughts....

That is really amazing, it is great to have family that relates to you and understands you. Unfortunately the only channeling I have seen is in movies. I'm a bit impressed that you can channel an angel for 30 minutes, how does it feel during that?

Yeah, I almost always get it when I'm talking about things like that (espeicially if the person is looking to me for knowledge, rather than debate). I think it's either just your higher self, or a combo between your higher self and their spirit guide(s) and/or higher self.

So that your higher self would give you the information, and the other person's guides/higher self would give you the wording that would give the best clarity for the other person. Of course, you could just be channeling the "universal mind". But I think it's more higher self based.

EDIT IN: Have you also noticed that you type MUCH faster when you channel like that? Because I think I go from 50 wpm (words per minute) to at least 65-70.

Sounds amazing! As much as I love the woman my mother is far from doing anything of the sort. I agree with Spawn of Gaea, having such a spiritually nurturing household must have been interesting to grow up in, to say the least I notice you say that they control your mouth.. thats cool The more consciousness they bring into our bodies the more they can control our 'vessels'.. And we should thank them for lowering their frequencies for our benefit.

Dash I can relate to feeling drained.. particularly if I haven't adequately shielded myself and ppl come to me for healing "advice".

Ive mentioned shielding in an earlier post of mine; very important point for anyone who may be connecting to higher sources. Hope its of some use if I quote it here

Shielding is a dear friend of mine, and I personally like to bring as much light into the body as possible. Visualisations are powerful but once mastered can be shortened in length/detail or bypassed altogether for just being. Summoning light is as instantaneous as having the conscious will to do so. I like to imagine electric energy from above and magnetic energy from the earth enter the body and converge in the electromagnetic centre of the heart. It may help to focus on energy rising, with every in breath if need be, from the core of the earth through the mantle, crust, your roots and into your body. Likewise imagining light from our galaxy being directed through our solar system and through your crown in wavelike pulsations or globes of light may help. With connection to this abundant source I find that I can transmit light from the heart or through the hands without depletion.

In the end do whatever works for you, breathe, go within, and have fun!
