Souls and evolutionary theory.

This is something I've been giving alot of thought lately. It's my theory on the origin of souls. There may be some holes in my logic, if so please point them out. So to begin we all know that energy can never be destroyed or created this means that whatever we have now is the same stuff that's been around since the big bang this includes all matter as well as energy. After the big bang there was a massive dust cloud, eventually galaxies, planets, stars condensed out of this cloud.

After this matter organized into life and biological evolution began. During the millions of years we've covered what was happening to the left over energy from the original explosion that gave birth to the cosmos? Couldn't energy have gone through it's own process of evolution and organized into life (ie. souls)? In the event that this happened souls melding with organic physical beings could be considered to be a symbiotic relationship or even a parasitic one.

it could be, or this idea could simply be produced by combining the current data about the nature of existence.

perhaps these informations aren't sufficient, or the best way, of interpreting "what actually happened."

until you know, why know be content to not know?

Well the first hole I want to point out, is that your basing your theory, on a theory (big bang). Which results in a too high of a maybe, possibly, could be, who knows type of suggestion.

Don't take this as any kind of malevolence please, just being honest like you asked.

I'm not suggesting that single cell organisms have souls. It could be that at some point souls reached a point in their evolution where they realised that they could inhabit physical bodies about the same time that advanced life began to form on earth. Or it may be that they needed the complex electrical system that the human nervous syrtem provides in order to remain an organized energy and keep from dissipating back into the universe. anyway these are just my thoughts.

You're right about how basing it on a theory is flawed to begin with,but the big bang is the best thing we have right now to explain the origin of the universe and I had to start somewhere. you are right though this is a hole, but only if the big bang theory is wrong.

Which isn't very unlikely for it to be wrong. Who said the universe even had an origin? Oh man, I just think this is too huge of an idea to theorize on, cause nobody really knows.

lol I second that, some things are better left unexplained because they are beyond our understanding.

This is a huge topic that we know very little about, but that doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't try to apply reasoning to it to expand upon our understanding. At the same time human reason doesn't always lead to the truth, it can't hurt though.

Sure the big bang theory is plausible, but I find it hard to believe that all of this just happened to work out so perfectly by complete chance and coincidence and here we are. I believe that part of the big bang theory was involved, maybe this was the physical aspect of how things went, but I think had to be some guiding force behind it. I believe there has to be a guiding force behind things just by the sheer complexity of all the systems here in our physical universe and how perfectly they work together and the delicate balance that is kept to maintain life.

EDIT: According to these channeled teachings, in the very beginning there was apparently only one being existing alone in the void (aka "Prime Creator"), who then at some point started creating new souls (the first "creator gods"), and these folks apparently eventually started creating a bunch of new souls, as described in the links.

I was meditating last night and came up with this thought- If the Universe, Time, and Space are infinitely expanding outward (i.e. there is no end to time- it is infinite) Why does there have to be a beginning. I know it's one of those incomprehensible concepts for us being that humans have a definite beginning and end, but why does the Universe have to have either? Sure it may evolve, but that's just the nature of things. It wouldn't function properly without some maintenance along the way in Infinity.

Incorporating this idea, I also remembered steven hawkings theory that the universe began like a bubble in a boiling pot of water, and all these bubble boiling are universes, and that the most probable universe is the one that expands and becomes the universe.
I just expanded on this through pure opinion and thought of my own.
So now, what if the source of everything, the motivation for existance, is the source constantly trying to escape this cycle of birth and death that we all seem to be stuck in.

@Naterade: If there are multiple universes possibly infinite numbers of them then there doesn't have to be a guiding force we could just be lucky and with those odds that wouldn't be too hard. A entity that is capable of orchestrating the laws of our universe to be able to foster life would be more improbable than chance being responsible because this entity would have to be more complex than the laws it is regulating because not only does it understand them completly, but it can also control them.

can't hurt at all, makes life more interesting. Douglas Adams was awesome, I was so happy when I found the entire Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy tv show online. Loved every minute of it, haven't read all the books of original radio script yet.
