doesn't say much, i know there's more info on the net

blind tom was a musical genius. during his tours, his act was to have several people from the audience play notes on the piano at the same time

he could correctly identify TWENTY TWO NOTES played at the same time.

    that is analytical hearing...

(there's a young guy on youtube who can see with his ears like a bat.. videos of him riding his bike making clicking noises with his tongue.. and he has glass eyeballs...)

next time someone tells you what the limitations of the human form are, laugh, laugh, laugh...

xo I read this story through the link you provided. Thank you as I have never heard of Tom and it was a delight to read such a little but grand biography. This kid you speak of on youtube who has ears as a bat can you guide me there so I may see this.

Thanks if you see this and provide.

it's a british documentary, 1 hour long.. you get the point in a few minutes though

as a pro-audio guy, i find it completely understandable as i have a practiced perception of short time periods that near reflections would create (sound is pretty slow.. on the 4th of july it took ~2 seconds for sound to travel from fireworks 1/2 mi. away.. when you use computers to edit sound you soon recognise the difference between a 10ms echo and a 20ms echo.. which is only a few feet in distance). as in the vedic tradition, i believe perception can be increased and refined.. perhaps even as a spiritual process

(i recommend holding a pillow at the ready in front of your face for some bits, eg. when he's removing his glass eyes.. which is why i couldn't stomach the whole thing..)
