My best friend is of the Mormon faith and I have gone many a time to his church and even to the pageant that is performed in Palmyra, NY - it was wonderful (even those anger Baptists that yelled at us on the way in) - it is a beautiful faith with beautiful people - but do I believe in it? No, but I do respect his belief's - if he wants to have a conversation on spirituality I do, same as if we wanted to talk about women
This part right here I am disappointed to read though, especially coming from who I consider to be a wise person:
So everything is in black and white to you my friend? That is sad because it limits and narrows your views very much.
-There's nothing in between being up or down? How do you get to the up when you are down then?
-When my grandma was lying on her death bed, and her legs started to 'marble' (which means they were dead and turning purple), and there was no turning around from that, was she still alive? At what point was she
really dead? When the heart stopped beating? Isn't their still brain activity for a few moments or so after that?
-Light or dark? I have seen many shades of both - sit outside for a couple of hours, you will see what I mean.
Ok, I can understand that you probably said this because your belief's say there is only one path to God and the devil confuses you by making you think there are others - I can respect that.
