visualising dimensions

this 2 hour movie visualises math in respect to dimensions. it's rather slow paced, however it's advent is using an extrapolative method to show projections of 4th dimensional solids passing through 3 dimensional space in the fashion of a 3-d polyhedron passing through a plane.

parts 1 - 3 explain the method, and part 4 demonstrates it.

apparently, it is created in part by the developer of this method, which is nice to see. the movie was made entirely with pov-ray, which is how i found it. povray is an open-source freeware raytracer that has been in development for decades.
