Ok, the purpose of this thread is to select ONE location for the sake of uniting and supporting each other in the event of a post apocalyptic event. Please, I don't want discussion on what's happening in 2012, I don't want religious debates, I don't want straying of the point please. The purpose, again, is to choose and agree to one and only one location to meet, be it that the world is flooding, that there is a food shortage, that the country becomes a state of emergency, or that all hell breaks loose. Obviously, this is going to be based off of North American Indigo's, unless you own a private plane. I suggest different threads for different countries/continents.
Ok, so one location, preferable central U.S. Some things to consider: Water source, fertile land to grow food, Seclusion in case violence spreading, and obviously shelter.
Alright guys, let's get to it. In the event that we don't agree in one place, majority rules.
Any disagreements with the thread can be posted elsewhere. I find this to be important, because I sure do want to know where to go the moment I'm surrounded by chaos, and to get together with indigo's where we can generate good and high energy levels seems like a plus as well.

first off i dont for see the event being like a light switch being turned on but rather more like a gradual shift towards the oncoming event and i think with time that we will all find our selves in our decided positions in space/time. But may i also suggest Iowa In the event of a mass catholicism fertile lands natural hunting game and a good potential for growth and home to many native American tribes. But like i said i see things happening much differently it has already begun with the way we are coming to war in such an unusual way we can only hope that few suffer and die in the coming years.
Peace brother and live in light.
The real me doesn't exist. for the real me is all of life and life is always changing.
I choose to do.
I'm not going to make it a big deal cause you mentioned a place, but I don't want discussions on what's going to happen, just where to go if something does. It'll take us off track, and I know how we love to start long conversations about diff. topics. Peace, and light to you.
Ok, everyone so we got Iowa. Let's keep hearing suggestions, or if not bringing it down to a more specific part of Iowa.

Hmmmm....I need temperate weather too. Nothing too cold for sure or we would all freeze to death. Something of higher elevation so we can see any unexpected attacks.
I am very partial to the west coast. I think all the tectonic plates combined with the ocean really adds a great vibe. I love Seattle and Portland but the rain would really get to me especially if there is no adequate shelter. I love San Diego though so I guess that would be my vote. I'm not sure if there is a mountain there or not (I really don't have the energy to look it up to sound more intelligent).

I know this is off topic and it's the only thing I'm going to say because I found it funny. What is a mass catholicism? Does that mean everyone turns into catholics? LMAO. I'm not down with that.

Tectonic plates = earthquakes, coast = floods. California is definitely a thumbs down on my part. You're making this too personal, you're setting the place to suit your needs and likes. Remember this is a group effort. The rain shouldn't be a problem, cause like I said we should have shelter.

That sounds like one nasty virus. Images of Resident Evil flash in my mind *shudders* Maybe we all get chased around by catholics with bibles condemning us with misinterpreted verses.
FlamingArrowCome on! Earthquakes are fun as long as you are not on a bridge and if we are on a mountain we won't have floods. Plus, unless there is a tsunami (which could be possible) we wouldn't have any floods. 200 days of rain/year would make me want to wish I had been taken over by the catholics.
East coast is either too cold in the winter or too hot and humid in the south. However, the southeast has more fertile land. I would be willing to migrate to the southeast if it meant my survival and if my west coast opinion gets twarted. And if whoever mentions Indian territory please keep us pale, easily sunburned, survivors in mind.

Yea, I don't think snow is a good idea unless Walmart sticks around and is magically re-stocked with snow boots and parkas. We won't have central air or heating and I don't want to wake up every 2 hours at night to stoke the fire.

Alright, for real this time. If something did happen I probably personally wouldn't go anywhere. I'd just stay and take it as it comes, unless I had to leave. But, eastern Oklahoma is a good spot. There's trees, farmland, rivers, lakes, and mountains to an extent. I always thought that would be a good spot to hide out in an emergency.

Lebanon, Kansas.
Located just north of the US-36/US-281 junction, Lebanon has access to major markets in four directions. It is also served by main line trains of the Kyle Railroad handling freight.
Because of its central location and surrounding farmlands, Lebanon is a crossroads to the nation during hunting seasons with hunters traveling hundreds of miles to hunt Pheasant, Quail, Doves, Ducks and Deer.
Population: 364
Elevation: 1821 feet
Latitude: 39° 48' 35" N
Longitude: 98° 33' 19" W
We got markets, low population, farm land, and hunting. Along with a central location that serves everyone as an equal travel distance for the most part.

What about Arkansas?
Out of the Earthquake zone, no beaches, out of tornado alley and has kinda a middle climate...
You are the wisdom, the power, & the light you seek. All answers lie within.

Arkansas or Missouri... closer to the middle of the lower 48.
The Mississippi river is close by with eventual access to the Gulf...
Sorry, don't know anything about topography or cities... Seems to me as though we'd want somewhere away from the cities....
Ooh, ooh! I vote Costa Rica and maybe Switzerland.
You get what you think about whether you want it or not.
civilizations flourish in coastal cities. I vote we go back to Jamestown/Williamsburg area. Mild weather, fertile soil, green space for wood and small game hunting. Fish, seaweed (iodine fights radiation sickness), poss. access to boat travel to Europe...hopefully reconnect with survivors there. Can forage into bigger cities for supplies. If this is too close to D.C. then the outter banks of S.C.. During the slave years the geeche (spelling) culture survived out there as an escaped slave colony. These are my thoughts.
