    Foreign languages?

Forgive me if I've asked this before at some point, but I wanted to know how many of you are studying foreign languages, and/or consider them to be an important part of your life path. What languages do you speak, or are studying? Also do you feel this message board would benefit from having a more international influence outside of the english-speaking countries?

I should mention mine; I have a good command of written German, and am studying Chinese in my spare time.

I was really glad to study foreign languages all the way through school beyond the required. I don't get much chance to practice - wish I could travel more and be challenged

I love languages and find them fascinating. Being a traveller I enjoy learning and using new words in the countries I visit so I've dabbled with German, Dutch, Greek, Portuguese and Arabic in the past, lol.

I also speak some French and use it in my job. I speak a little Spanish too but want to learn more. I have a few online friends in places like Mexico and Colombia and want to converse with them in Spanish instead of just using English all the time.
