    Hi

Right now i'm cooking my evening meal which consists of two pies and potato wedges, not very healthy sounding is it 'especially when alot of my meals at the moment consist of potato'.

What i'm pondering is that does your state of mind affect the way your body digests food, like for example if you have a worry about cholesterol would your body store more cholesterol from a fried egg than if you didn't think about cholesterol at all.

I don't see why it wouldn't. However your body also reacts to unhealthy food by messing up your digestive system and lowering your energy levels.

I also believe that if you give thanks before beginning to eat you absorb more of the foods energy.

Yeah for sure on the energy levels, I know I need to get my act together regarding food. Once upon a time I was a very good boy and would only eat healthy foods, drink only bottled water.

Tune, Tracy Chapman just came on radio ! ! !

I need to make a commitment that when I goto the supermarket, I only buy good mood food.

Your body certainly does get affected by your state of mind - the easiest of these to remember is when you're ill or emotionally disturbed and people say 'ooh you must eat' - wrong!! Your body tells you what it wants but you can educate it to want crap all the time.
I love junk food but I get sick of it so I balance my diet, some healthy some junk. We eat more if we eat lots of carbs too, cos carbs give short bursts of energy and also can make you as fat & unhealthy as cakes.
Cholesterol is raised mostly by meat & dairy consumption (saturated fats).
If you focus on cholesterol it will magnify it to a degree.

potatoes can be bad news on your metabolism depending on your blood type. If you have heard of it - eat right for your type is a good way to go ask far as diet goes I think, different blood types digest food in different ways, these different ways are important to know as one food that someone may thrive on, could damage a different persons metabolism
