Tarot Readings
I thought I would take this opportunity to start a thread where those of us who read tarot (or other forms of divination) could offer readings, insights, and discussions about what it all means to us.
I think tarot, like astrology and dreamwork, can be a wonderful tool in helping us delve into the psyche and explore our inner selves.
So who's with me?

I would be more than happy to lend a hand. I generally only pick up the cards when they tell me too- but I have a feeling that they'll call out a lot if I'm doing this.
I also can do connections with people, generally I see most of your past, sometimes past lives.
I'm interested!

I'm just learning the tarot myself and bought the beautiful Thoth deck. What is your favorite card to draw and why?

My favorite? Thats a tough one.
My favorite card is the Star- and it also happens to be my significator card.
But oddly enough, I would say The hanged man. Why? Because his vision of the world is distored, but its the way he best see's things clearly. It shows that although you may glance at something and not understand it at first sight, you look at in another world- and everything opens up.
I also like pulling the Queen of Wands. She's a strong feminine figure.

I love the Star as well! I pull the hanged man a lot, a topsy-turvy world!! The Tower is another one that seems to pop up everywhere for me.

The tower often scares people and they always expect the worse. True enough, the symbolism of the card is a bit harsh- but it can be a card of rebirth. Just because something is falling or dying away, it can be for a good reason.

Totally. I find it funny that this card started popping up as soon as Pluto (planet of birth, death, rebirth, transformation, etc.) moved into my sun sign, Capricorn. It is in retrograde right now in Sag, but will go direct in November for about 15 years.

I'm generally picky about who I read for and there is a reason; people dont understand that these cards are reading the current- NOTHING is set in stone. They are a tool for insite. If you dont like something they say, think about the information and go from there.
I dislike it when people take things so literal that they make a self fullfilling prophecy

I don't believe any tool of divination negates free will, ever.

Thank you! Some people just dont understand that no matter what our tools say or help us see, free will always remains the greatest element of the outcome.

I have a few decks and would be happy to read for anyone who wants a reading. My main deck is missing right now though because I keep moving from place to place...I have read over the internet before and have found it no harder than reading in person.
Also, my favorite cards change as my life changes. I have a bit of a grudge against the tower right now because I am coming out of a major tower period in my life and really don't want anymore to do with it for awhile lol ....I identify strongly with the Queen of Cups. Woman, feminine, intuitive and emotional. It is rare for me not to remember my dreams.
I'm happy to see people responding to this thread!

i would love a reading whenever you get some free time!! im waiting to hear back from sophia on how my first internet reading went, it was a little strange to try for me but i also was able to really relax and not feel a pressure from the reader that some people who are not familiar with tarot give off.
hooray for you being a queen of the cups susanna!!! i used to come up as the princess of cups when i was in my early teens but now seem to come up at the queen of swords-authorative (sometimes to a fault), blunt, witty, and also falls under my astrological sign too!!

I don't know whether I will have time today, but if not, I will definitely be able to read for you tomorrow...You can private message me with your question if you have one...I look forward to seeing what we come up with!
