Truth is Absolute

Truth:

Truth = Truth; Truth cannot be <less than, or greater than> Truth. Truth is Truth regardless of where you find it, or how you feel about it. Truth is absolute.

In summary, regarding Truth, there are no “gray areas;” Truth itself does not change due to our perception of it; only our perception changes, Truth remains the same.

What is truth, who decides what is truth and what isnt truth.

There is no such thing as absolute.

Hello Positive...using your reasoning, it would be impossible to ever know "the truth", for your acknowledgement of changing perceptions determines a shifting view of truth. In short, there is no way that anyone could ever pin truth down in its entirety because they have the falliable fault of letting their experiences determine what it is that they believe, teach or write.

Just a thought.

truth is subject to scrutiny. truth is sometimes misguided. truth is relevant to this world. truth can be bought and sold. truth is subjective. truth is abstract. truth is colorful yet fiery. truth is a faint beacon in a hurricane. truth is sanity in glorius works. truth is the old body laying still in a coffin. truth is in the tears down the cheeks. truth is playfull when scorned. truth is sacred but abused. truth is a rainbow after the rains. truth is gods creations at work. truth is without pennance. truth is able to rectify the greatest of all evils. truth is me and you.

I think philosophers have debated a long time whether there is an absolute truth that we imperfectly perceive or there is only subjective reality. I don't think there really is a way to prove it one way or the other - hence the ongoing chicken & egg nature of this question. I think it does give you information about another person to understand how they resolve that question. Like knowing if a person is a glass half-empty or half-full thinker.

I agree, Truth is absolute. It's only from within the illusion that it appears otherwise. Truth is multidimensional and can only be understood from within this context. If you look at it from a 3rd dimensional perspective then science and math appear to be the ultimate truth. From the mind's perspective, truth appears to be wholly subjective and you get the relativist philosophy. From a higher dimensional perspective it's all Love and Free Will, the seemingly subjective truths of the mind and body flow directly from conscious intent.

Is the contradiction within relativism, the idea that there are no absolute truths, not obvious?

Bingo! Sometimes the simplest answers are the most eloquent and befitting.

If One so chose; how could One take this thought deeper?

Just a thought.
Because you perceives something; does that make it so?

If it is deemable that the absolute Truth of a matter is "1" and you perceive it to BE "2;" does the absolute Truth change itself to match your perception? Or; are you simply in a state of misperception, Truthless?

Would water flowing down hill be absolute Truth?

Because you personally conceive pigs flying, or chocolate milk flowing from a volcano; does that make it so? Does your conception, or perception, define absolute Truth?

If you tell your family that you are leaving to Japan on the 2nd of next month, and in fact, on that day you do leave for Japan… Does that make it an absolute Truth? In either case; why?

Does the thought of philosophers debating slavery have any affect on your understanding of it being right/wrong?

If a doctor told you that you that you had HIV; would you get a second opinion?

Because you cannot prove I am posting this message from a computer, rather than a cell phone or my mind; does that make it so?

Does your “subjective reality,” as you’ve called it here; control whether something is, or is not?

Because you do not know that answer to a seemingly simple or complex question; does that mean there is not an answer?

Does One’s belief of a glass being half empty/half full; change the absolute amount of water in the glass?

How long would you have to scrutinize a rock’s existence before it wasn’t so?

Is that not misguided perception; misguided intent, or evermore, misguided guidance?

How much would it cost to fly to the sun in a ’64 VW Bus, and return with a trunk full of sun rocks; of course, based on the price of your “truth?”

Based on “your-subjective-truth;” Must you see my fingers before I type you this message? Or; is the Truth so insignificant and relative, that it needs your personal acceptance to exist absolutely?

Is Truth, not Truth?

Does the “word or philosophy” of relativism really rationalize Truth when related to rowing rivers with two red rakes?

Is relativity perceptual?

Is relativity absolute?

Does the contradiction of beliefs between cultures have the ability change Truth?

Would a third dimensional perspective, or any variety of perspective; change absolute existence; moreover, absolute Truth?

In what way does the word, concept, or idea of “perception” have the ability to influence Truth?
