Re: A simple meditation

Yes, it is the most simple the thing in the world to do - that's why it's so hard. Intention will breed results, so if the intent is to keep up with this practice for 28 days straight, even if you falter and have to start again, there will be great internal improvements. Forgiveness is important too...

A simple meditation

I call it simple and not easy because meditation is definitely not easy at first. The goal of a meditative practice can be to tap into your higher self and gain a perspective on the difference between that and you animal (ego) mind. To learn that you are not just your thoughts but really vastly so m...

<t>Welcome to IS!<br/> <br/> I think the need to connect with others is a human trait - we spent some 3 million years living in tribes, only in the last 10,000 has that changed (and look at all the traumatic effects that have happened!)<br/> <br/> Hopefully one day that will be common enough knowled...

<t>I had many of the same feelings when I was wondering if I was an Indigo - but I found out about it a little bit older then you, I was 25 then. You're the first person I've heard of having this issue - off the top of my head I'd think it might be a problem with your web browsers cookies, or maybe some anti-virus software, but not sure.

What is a bad man but a good mans job? They need each other, if you see one yo...

I've come to find that good and evil don't really exist - that might not be the answer you were looking for. Good and evil are relative to the observer. Being selfish isn't always "evil" and what is good, doing what other think you should do?
i'm mostly looking for people who live here presently. there seems to be a void of likeminded people around here and id like to fix that.
I wish you a lot of luck with that - I tried for years and then finally gave up and moved.

Do you wanna in Lackawanna? Count me in that 3% - It's called Lockport because of the canal - thought of as the historic part of WNY now....but probably just an old suburb.

I don't think that everyone or anyone needs to suffer with the Idea it will make them stronger. Like: I know you are suffering but it is for your own good? Greetings and welcome to IS!

What is it that you feel you need to accomplish? Is there a talent that maybe you could share with others?

It sounds like you could benefit from practicing on focusing on the here and now - be in the moment, when thoughts of the past or ideas of the future come to mind, don't entertain them (basically ignore them - but don't push them away, just think of those thoughts as being very unimportant)

<t>Watched that movie "What Dreams May Come" the other day, I think they were playing it on TV because of Robin Williams death.
